Status

The school enjoys the recognition of the Government of Tamil Nadu and is also affiliated to the Board of Matriculation Schools of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The school has been upgraded into Higher Secondary from 1994-95. The school is co-educational. The medium is English.

Welcome to YMCA School

YMCA Brown Memorial Matriculation Higher Secondary School is a Christian co-educational unaided minority school, established and administered by the Committee of Management of YMCA Boys’ Division. (A Project of the National Council of YMCAs of India). It is situated near the Tirupattur Railway Station in a spacious campus with modern facilities.

The YMCA Boys’ Division was started with two boys in 1937 as a need based programme in a rented building. First, a hostel for the rural students to stay, a club to develop Physical, Cultural, Religious and Educational activities. In 1963 an Orphanage was started to cater to the semi – orphans and destitute boys. Till 1987, there was no Nursery and Primary School to meet the need of the children ofTirupattur Community. The Management decided to start a school in memory of the founder of YMCA Boys’Division, Mr. FRANK C.BROWN

Our Events

Admission

Admissions are made in Pre.K.G., L.K.G., U.K.G., Classes and from standards I to XII. For direct admissions children should satisfy the age rule i.e 2+ for nursery, 3+ for L.K.G., 4+ for U.K.G./, 5+ for the I Std., and so on, on or before 31 st July of the year of admission.

School Day

. The school provides the need of the community by disseminating Quality education, Communicative English, Orientation program for teachers and students updating and sharpening their skills, Carrier guidance, Personality Empowerment training and Psychological Counseling for the students

Division of Houses

Students are classified, on the basis of class, into Super-Senior (Boys) and Senior (Girls). All the students are divided into four Houses Viz., Cheran, Cholan, Pandian and Pallavan. General Knowledge, Quiz, Fancy Dress, Drama, Elocution, Recitation, Music and Drawing Competitions are conducted periodically on House basis.
